Admission ticket is valid for one admission to the Adair County Fair for any one day, July 10 – 14, 2024. Not valid with any other discount offer.

4-H / FFA Exhibitors receive free admission with a wristband. Wristbands must be worn on the wrist and worn every day.

No refunds, no exchanges, no replacement tickets or wristbands.

Fair Camping

  • No camping except in designated camping areas.
  • Returning campers are given priority for the reserved electrical spots. After the registered campers are confirmed, any available spots will be opened up to the waiting list. You will be notified if a spot is available once the registration process is complete (usually by early July). To be placed on the waiting list please submit your information via the form below each year. The list does not carry over from year to year.
  • Fee for full-time registered electrical camping is $200 ($120 for camping plus $80 for 10 adult admission tickets) for the entire fair. Pre-registration and pre-payment of campers is required.
  • Campers 17 years and younger must have a parent or guardian sign camping registration and provide emergency contact information.
  • $20 per night (if any spots are available for individual nights).
  • Tents/no electricity $5/night

No outside alcohol allowed, must be provided by Greenfield Bowl per contract.

No household auctions will be allowed in the 4H/FFA Center.

  • A PA sound system and projector and screen are available upon request when picking up the key.
  • NO WALL or CEILING DECORATIONS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED. NO HOLES OR USE OF ANYTHING THAT WILL DAMAGE THE WALLS OR CEILING!!
  • NO SMOKING ALLOWED IN BUILDING.
  • LIQUOR WILL BE SERVED ONLY BY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL. Renter must contact Carol Root at Greenfield Bowl (641) 743-2160 at least 14 days if possible prior to the event regarding the estimated number attending.  NO OTHER ALCOHOL WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ADAIR COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS.  It is a contract violation to bring outside alcohol to your events.
  • WEEKEND RENTALS ONLY, DOES NOT APPLY TO ONE DAY RATE: If there are no other paid bookings, the rental rate is from noon Friday until noon Sunday. The building must be cleaned and vacated by 12 pm on Sunday or additional rates will apply. The deposit can be withheld if these guidelines are not followed. Additional day $75 each.
  • A $150 DEPOSIT will be necessary at the time of reservation and will be returned if canceled 30 days prior to the event.  This covers single and multi-day events. The entire rental amount (NOT RENT MINUS DEPOSIT) will be due 7 working days prior to use of the building or the contract may be VOID.  
  • The keys may be picked up the day before the event (if nothing is booked).  When keys are returned the building will be inspected.  If the inspection is passed the deposit will be returned by check.  If any cleaning or damage repair is needed or any items in this contract are violated, the entire $150.00 will be forfeited and the total amount of damages will be the responsibility of renter.
  • Renter Responsibilities: Renter is responsible for cleaning the building, which shall include:
    • ​1. Clear & wipe down tables/chairs
    • 2. Clean Kitchen
    • 3. Sweep, mop, vacuum floors
    • 4. Clean and scrub bathrooms
    • 5. Turn off lights
    • 6. Put garbage in the dumpster
    • 7. Be sure the building is locked when you leave.
  • Cleaning supplies are located in the storage room and paper products are located in a kitchen cupboard. The owner is to be held harmless in the event of injury or accident while this agreement is in force.
  • If there are any problems when you arrive to set up (or anytime during your event) please let us know immediately. We want this to be a positive experience for everyone involved!

Fairgrounds General Rules

  • There are no fires or fire pits of any kind allowed on the fairgrounds.
  • Pets must be on a leash (8 feet or less) in all areas (including campgrounds) and be current on vaccinations (proof must be available upon request). Unattended pets are subject to immediate removal and impoundment.  Pet waste must be picked up and properly disposed of. Be courteous to your neighbors and other visitors.
  • Golf carts, ATV’s or UTV’s are not recognized as state-approved handicapped vehicles.
  • Only ATVs, UTVs, or golf carts used by grandstand personnel, maintenance personnel, and the Adair County Fair Board or Adair County Extension members will be allowed around the Adair County Fairgrounds.  The public can drive ATVs, UTVs, or golf carts onto the fairgrounds, but vehicles must be parked and are not allowed to be driven around the fairgrounds.
  • NO skid loaders or mechanical equipment of any kind are allowed in any barns before, during, or after the fair.
  • NO PARKING stock trailers/trucks in the pit area or around the barns.  Once trailers are unloaded, they must be parked in the designated area west of the campground or leave the grounds. Violators may be towed away at the vehicle owner’s expense. 
  • ALL visitors, participants, campers & others must abide by fairgrounds rules and the code of conduct and youth code of ethics or you may be asked to leave and may be subject to losing camping or other privileges.   We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
  • CURFEW: Approved by Adair County Fair Board; enforced by Adair Co. Sheriff and Reserves. The Sheriff shall have charge of the grounds under the control of the President, Directors, and Reserves during the exhibition and it shall be their duty to reserve order throughout. No personal vehicles shall enter the fairgrounds from 12:00 midnight to 5:30 am, except in the case of an emergency. All vehicles on the fairgrounds shall remain parked during these same hours. No one will be allowed in or near the livestock barns and corrals from 12:00 midnight to 5:30 am. Those staying overnight must be in their designated camping area. 
  • During the Adair County Fair alcoholic beverages are only allowed in the pit area and campsites. No gambling, immoral exhibitions, intoxicated persons, or illegal drugs will be permitted on the fairgrounds.

The Adair County Fair Board reserves the final and absolute right to interpret all rules and regulations and to determine all matters, questions, and differences arising from incidents at the fair. Fair management will decide all disputes arising out of any confusion.

The Adair County Fair Association, Adair County Fair, Adair County Fair Board, Adair County Extension; and their agents, officers, and employees will not be held responsible in case of accidents, breakage, theft, fire, any acts of God, and all causes of action, liabilities, loss, and claims resulting from or the participation in any events held at the Adair County Fair.
